Star Energy Community Fund
We launched the Star Energy Community Fund in 2008 as a way to give back to the local communities where we operate in parts of Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire. After two successful years during which we contributed around £200,000 to community projects in key areas, we regret to inform you that we have had to suspend the fund for the 2011 – 12 financial year. This decision reflects the current economic uncertainties, which require us to reduce costs, as well as the fact that we currently have fewer active projects directly impacting communities in our key areas.

The Star Energy Community Fund aims to support projects in towns and parishes near our operational surface facilities. These facilities include onshore oil and gas production sites, gas storage facilities, and electricity generation sites. Pipeline routes and related construction facilities are also included while they are being built, but not once complete.
